About center patti lace
In Faisalabad this is called center patti (centre strip) lace; buyers abroad know it as double-edge guipure insertion lace. It is embroidered on our shuttle machines, washed free of its base, cut and wound onto rolls, then bundled by colour. Width is about 4 – 6 cm (1½ – 2½ inches); plain, straight finish on both edges with the design in the centre, so it is stitched flat through a panel rather than on a hem.
